Dyer Free Public Wi-Fi Hotspot Announced
The City of Dyer and Gibson Connect have partnered to create a public high-speed Wi-Fi hotspot at the Dyer VFW (273 East College) in Dyer. It can be accessed from the parking area.

**Canceled** Due to a loss of pressure across the system on November 23, 2020, the City of Dyer, on advice of the State of Tennessee, is issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice for customers until further notice.
Dyer Announces Select Tennessee Certified Industrial Site
State and local officials were on hand at the Dyer Industrial Park on Thursday, September 3, where it was announced that Dyer now has a 32 acre Select Tennessee Certified Site. The Select Tennessee program helps communities like Dyer prepare industrial sites for private investment and job creation. The program sets rigorous standards to give companies detailed and reliable information during the site selection process.
Dyer Receives $500,000 Home Improvement Grant
Mayor Chris Younger announced on Tuesday that the City of Dyer will receive a $500,000 HOME program grant from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) to help local families with home repairs.
Masks Required at Dyer City Hall
Effective Friday, July 31, 2020, masks will be required for anyone entering Dyer City Hall. This includes those conducting business or attending meetings.
Dyer to host farmers market
The City of Dyer will begin hosting a farmers market each Saturday through October. The first market day will be Saturday, July 25, 2020. The Dyer Farmers Market will host vendors of locally grown produce and locally produced items.

Executive Order: Utility Disconnects & Continuing Emergency
On April 13, 2020, Mayor Chris Younger issued Executive Order 2020-005 which extended the ongoing state of emergency in Dyer and provided relief from utility Disconnects for Non-Payment through May 10, 2020. Please continue to pay all or a portion of utility bills.
Mayor Younger Issues Exec. Order 2020-003
On March 30, 2020, Mayor Chris Younger issued an order continuing the closure of city facilities and providing for a suspension of utility disconnects for non-payment through April 14, 2020.
Executive Order 2020-002 – Business Restrictions
This afternoon at 5:10 PM, Mayor Chris Younger issued Executive Order 2020-002, setting forth additional guidelines for businesses in Dyer. The executive order closes all non-essential retail businesses, but most businesses may continue to provide curbside pickup and delivery services.
Regular Board Meeting Canceled March 23
Due to ongoing concerns and in an effort to comply with guidance about social distancing, the regular meeting of the Dyer Board of Aldermen for March 23, 2020 has been canceled. An electronic meeting conducted pursuant to Governor Lee’s executive order will be scheduled soon.
