Rumors during this difficult time
We are aware that there are rumors circulating about a COVID-19 diagnosis in Dyer. Due to patient confidentiality rules, neither the Health Department nor local clinics can confirm (for local governments) where a patient lives. We CAN say definitively that the rumor that a Dyer city employee is infected is FALSE.

Public Notice: Motorcycle Vehicle Registration
Due to reported confusion about whether these vehicles require city stickers, the Board of Aldermen has authorized the sale of city stickers for motorcycles and similar vehicles for $30.00 through July 20, 2018, after which the price will return to the “late” amount of $72.00.

Dyer Board Anticipates Water Rate Increase
The Dyer Board of Mayor and Aldermen are reluctantly accepting that a water and sewer rate increase will likely be necessary in the coming fiscal year. The last rate increase was approved in June of 2011. Register for the town-hall meeting concerning water rates.

TVA Assists City with Energy Audit
Specialists from the Tennessee Valley Authority in cooperation with Gibson Electric Membership Corporation visited Dyer on April 26 to assist with an energy audit focused on energy consumption at Water and Wastewater Facilities.
Board Adopts New Bulk Waste Policies
The Dyer Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a resolution on March 27 changing the way that bulk items are handled in Dyer. The new procedures are designed to simplify disposal of bulk waste such as furniture, clothing, and other items that may not be easily disposed of in a regular rolling garbage can. The first dropoff date at the Water Plant will be May 6 from 8AM to Noon.

Did you know that the City of Dyer now offers e-bills for utility accounts? You can sign up to receive your utility bill by e-mail each month — you can even choose to have it delivered to multiple addresses!
City Stickers on Sale
City Sticker are now on sale. Through April 17, 2017, the cost is $30. After April 17, drivers are subject to citation into city court, and the cost of stickers go up to $72.
